Notice to Clients Regarding COVID-19
On March 20, 2020, Illinois Governor Pritzker executed COVID-19 Executive Order No. 8, implementing stay-at-home and social distancing requirements for all Illinoisans. In order to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, all individuals living in Illinois are ordered to stay at home or at their place of residence. Such individuals, however, may leave their home to engage in essential activities. Essential activities include: health and safety activities, to obtain necessary services and supplies, to engage in certain outdoor activities, and to take care of others. All essential activities will require that social distancing practices be observed while engaged in those activities. Social distancing means maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from any other person and utilizing hand sanitizer.
All non-essential businesses and operations must cease under this order, but businesses considered essential may remain open. Under Paragraph 12(r) of the order, legal services are considered an essential business.
At the Estate & Business Law Group, we are taking COVID-19 very seriously. All of our staff, and most of our attorneys, will be working remotely until further notice. Our offices, however, will remain open during this time to serve the essential legal service that our firm provides during this time. We have revised our firm emergency policy and are taking the following steps to continue our service to our clients:
- All meetings, to the extent possible, shall be held via telephone of virtual conference Zoom meetings.
- If you have a smart phone, tablet, or computer, we will offer to conduct our consultation remotely using Zoom. Our staff is prepared to help you get it installed and set up as quickly and easily as possible on your device before our scheduled appointment time. THIS IS A SIMPLE PROCESS AND WE WILL MAKE IT AS SEAMLESS AS POSSIBLE.
- Our offices will implement social distancing practices.
- Our office space is being sprayed and wiped down after each visit.
Your safety and peace of mind are always our number one concern. Times like these make us even more aware of how important that is. Please notify us if you have any questions about our policies and practices.
