Supervising Paralegal

Mary Karagas is the Supervising Paralegal for all practice areas at Estate & Business Law Group. With 24 years legal experience, Mary is experienced in all areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Corporate formation and governance.

Mary’s work centers primarily around drafting estate planning documents, estate plan funding review, trust administration and settlement, and corporate formation and governance. As Supervising Paralegal, Mary is responsible for the development and continued growth of the firm’s Estate Planning and Corporate Shield™ Annual Maintenance Programs. Mary is the firm’s primary contact for our estate planning and corporate maintenance clients, serving as a gateway for communication between the firm and the clients.

Prior to joining the Estate & Business Law Group, Mary served as a paralegal for a prominent Chicago corporate and litigation law firm, and as a Docket Clerk for the Charitable Trust Division of the Illinois Attorney General’s office. Mary received her B.S. degree in Social Work from Mundelein College in Chicago, graduating cum-laude and went on to obtain her Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University in Chicago, graduating with Honors.
